The new Construction General Permit (CGP) includes significant changes from the previous CGP and discharger's have less than a year to prepare to ensure the appropriate compliance measures are available and in place for current and future construction projects subject to coverage under the CGP.  This seminar will cover changes to the CGP including, but not limited to:

  • Certification/training requirements for key project personnel;
  • Risk-based permitting approach;
  • Technology-based numeric action levels (NALs);
  • Technology-based numeric effluent limitations (NELs);
  • Minimum best management practices (BMPs) requirements specified in the permit;
  • Effluent monitoring and reporting requirements;
  • Receiving water monitoring and reporting requirements;
  • Post-construction storm water performance standards;
  • Requirement to develop a Rain Event Action Plan (REAP);
  • Annual reporting requirements; and
  • Coverage of linear underground/overhead projects (previously covered under the Small Linear Underground Overhead Projects Permit Order No. 2003-0007-DWQ.
